I. Materials & Craftsmanship
What are your pieces made of?
We prioritize longevity and skin health. Most designs utilize high-quality stainless steel and nickel-free components. We also incorporate silver, copper, and authentic natural stones in both raw and polished states.
Is it durable?
Absolutely. Select designs feature soldered metal elements to ensure structural integrity. While our polymer clay is famously lightweight for comfort, its construction is architect-grade.
Handmade vs. Handcrafted
At Gemthropology, we distinguish between the two. Fully Handmade pieces are sculpted and created from scratch in-house. Handcrafted pieces are thoughtfully assembled using curated materials and specialized techniques. Both receive the same meticulous attention to detail.
II. Shipping & Logistics
When will my order ship?
To maintain a sustainable workflow, we ship orders every Tuesday and Thursday (excluding holidays).
Do you offer local pickup?
Yes! For our Raleigh, NC community, free pickup is available at the Raleigh Market or Raleigh Festival with advance notice. Please contact us to coordinate.
III. Policies & Preservation
What is your return policy?
Due to the unique nature of our artifacts, returns must be initiated within 3 days of receipt. The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.
How do I care for my jewelry?
Even high-quality metals need a little grace. To preserve your piece’s finish, keep it away from harsh chemicals, perfumes, and excessive sweat.
Do you offer wholesale?
We do not offer traditional wholesale at this time. However, we love "Group Projects"! We encourage inquiries for weddings, schools, fraternities, and other community-based organizations.
