Artifact No. LL-005: The Guardian’s Resolve

Curatorial Summary
An homage to the "Protector Class" in human history, LL-005 (formerly Masculinity) utilizes materials that have signaled discipline and order for millennia. Onyx, frequently used in Roman intaglios as a lithic boundary, is paired with Tiger’s Eye—a mineral carried by ancient strategists for its "watchful" properties. It is the modern uniform for those who navigate complex social systems with quiet authority.

Lithic Analysis

  • Specimens: Black Onyx and Golden Tiger’s Eye.
  • Composition: Onyx (banded Chalcedony) and Tiger’s Eye (Quartz pseudomorph after Crocidolite).
  • Logic: The light-absorbing Onyx acts as a foundation of absolute stability, absorbing "noise" from the wearer's environment. The golden chatoyancy of the Tiger’s Eye provides the necessary sharp discernment to act decisively within that silence.

Archivist’s Field Notes
This is a standard-issue piece for the modern diplomat. The weight of the Onyx against the wrist serves as a constant tactile reminder of one's own boundaries.
